The Family Caregiver program targets resources and information to help:
1) Those caring for adults over 60 who have a chronic illness or disability and are living at home, and...
2)Grandparents over 55 with the responsibility of raising their grandchildren.
This program:
- provides information and referral services
- evaluates needs and helps to find solutions available in the community
- offers counseling and educational services such as training and support services
- provides respite care, allowing caregivers time to meet other responsibilities
There is a caregiver support group that meets at the SEC the fourth Tuesday of the month from 1:30-2:30pm. There is also a Caregiver Resource room located at the Senior Enrichment Center that is full of information, books and videos on caregiving that can be checked out.
