Welcome to the Moore County Register of Deeds website. The Register of Deeds serves as custodian and manager of large numbers of official public records. Documents related to land transactions are recorded and maintained in order to determine property ownership through title research. When land transactions are recorded, it places the public legally on notice as to the title, therefore providing protection for the rights of ownership. The office also issues marriage licenses, certified birth, death and marriage certificates, administers Notary Public oaths, retains military discharges and many others.

The Register of Deeds is an elected official who serves a four year term of office. To the citizens of Moore County, I would like to extend my appreciation and gratitude that you have allowed me to serve as your Register of Deeds since 2001.
